This page is dedicated to my part of the Coast Guard.
Aviation Search And Rescue.
As you have probably noticed some of my links take you back
to a previous site. The reason being that I am trying to be a
conduit to things that interest me and I hope you also. Some web
sites take time to scour and find things of interest I am merely
trying to get you closer to what you might be looking for.
As this site develops there will be some original input from
me but Several people have already garnered and published what
they have so I want you to see their work.
Before I go too far I would like to
encourage all present and former aviation personel to join the Ancient
Order Of The Pterodactyl.
This is a brotherhood of Coast Guard
Aviation that keeps you up to date on current events, memories of
the past and also contributes to CG Air related projects.Check
them out. I really believe its a great group and worthy of
considering becomming a member.
As time goes on there will be many
changes on my site. Many probably not even noticeable but I am
going to try and pack enough things of intrest into this that you
will want to see and learn all you can about the men and women of
the Coast Guard Air Arm.
There have been many heroes in the
history of Coast Guard Aviation but I have a philosophy that all
flight crew members, in the sense that it is the draw of the
cards that decides circumstances, are heroes.
If you are ready crew for 20 years and
never were in the "big case"you are as much of a hero
as those that have been.
Everyone who has stood a duty day
waiting for the call, willing to sacrifice themselves for others
are all heroes and I am proud to have been amoungst you.
I hope everyone who views these pages
will get an idea as to what Air Sea Rescue and those who serve is
all about.

The Winged S award was given by
Sikorsky to aviation personel who performed a rescue mission in a
Sikorsky helicopter.
